FAQ

WEIGH IN QUESTIONS

1.     Where can I weigh in?

  • You can weigh in at our designated Weigh In station the morning of the event or the day before the event at a designated gym, Click on the Tab that says (Weigh in Info) and all the times and locations are listed.
  • Do I have to weigh in with my GI on?
  • No, you do not have to weigh in with your Gi on.  Competitors CAN NOT take all their clothes off to weigh in.
  • We DO NOT give a 1 lb allows, Competitors have to make scratch weight

3.     What happens if I don’t make weight? Am I automatically disqualified?

  • ADULTS: There is a date listed into information for each event and Adult competitors can change their weigh division up until that date for free. After the date listed there is a $20 Rebracketing fee.
  • YOUTH: Competitors 4-17 years old. Competitors competing in the Youth and teen divisions can change their division up until the final weigh in time on the day of the event without a rebracketing fee.  We DO NOT want youth competitors cutting weight so we will not disqualify competitors for not making the weight they pre-registered for.  Parents if you know before the event your child is not going to make weight, please log back into their Smoothcomp registration and update their weight division.  If you are not able to update the weight, please email, [email protected], and we will move them.

4.     How can I change my weight division?

  • Yes , but please make sure it is a tight fitting rash guard and not a t-shirt.

3.     Can I wear a T-Shirt while I do NO GI?
